Young painter with constructive and colorful drive at the same time, Jordi Jubany (Mataró, 1970) is an emerging value in the new Catalan figurative art. When he was still a child he received (1978) the first notions of artistic drawing under the guidance of Albert Alís, later (1985-1987) he studied at the School of Visual Arts of Vilassar de Mar, to enter profitably in the intense exercise of painting oil painting. He quickly began to show his creative gifts. Later (1999) he followed a sculpture course at the Massana school, where he came into contact with stone, wood and iron, developing an artistic capacity in volumetric areas that has allowed him to create in his paintings an own and inimitable perspective and depth. He began his career with participation in various competitions, in which he was always selected and awarded. Since 2009, he has been in contact with the “EL CLAUSTRE” art gallery, which manages his career and works exclusively at art fairs and galleries where he is represented.
